Dave Loder is a spatial practitioner working fluidly across installation, interiors, architecture, landscape and sound. His practice, research and teaching concerns ‘worlding’, with a focus on the overlapping technological and infrastructural conditions - From language and cartography to machine sensing and digital platforms - through which we spatially engage with and are structured by the world.

Dave is currently Lecturer in Interior, Architectural and Spatial Design at the Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh. From 2017-2023, Dave worked at The Glasgow School of Art, where he was Lecturer in Interior Design, PhD Coordinator for the Mackintosh School of Architecture and Course Leader for the Worlding Fictions & Fictional Worlds postgraduate elective.

In 2021 Dave founded the Image|Imaging|Interior research cluster, which currently collaborates across Edinburgh College of Art and Glasgow School of Art.

Dave lives and works between Belfast and Edinburgh.
